−序章−

すべてはこの１枚の旅行パンフレットから始まった。 「スーパーフリーダムな惑星・パジャマジャへ」 ここへ行きたい！ わたしは一寸の迷いもなく、すぐ旅の準備にとりかかりました。 そして旅行してきました。 これから始まる日記は2007年にイメージの旅をした私のパジャマジャ旅行記です。

-Introduction-

It all started with this one travel brochure. I want to go here! Without a moment's hesitation, I immediately started preparing for my trip. And I did. The following is my travelogue of my imaginary trip to Pajamaja in 2007.

パジャマジャ星に着いてまず驚いたのは、太陽が３つあることだ。RGB（R：赤、G：緑、B：青）の3つで、地上がピンク色になったり、地球のように青空になったり、時間によって変化するが明るい昼間が長い。時間感覚が狂うので、この星では腕時計は必需品だ。とはいってもすでに長時間のフライトでわけわかんなくなっているけど。

地球発パジャマジャ星行きロケットが着陸したのは、ボンガンミンの北端のほうらしい。 まずパジャマジャ星かんこう局ボンガンミン管区で入星スタンプをもらった。

The first thing that surprised me when I arrived at the planet Pajamaja was that it has three suns, RGB (R: red, G: green, B: blue), which makes the ground pink or blue sky like the earth, changing with time but with long bright days. A wristwatch is a necessity on this planet, as it throws off one's sense of time. However, I have already lost my sense of time after a long flight.

The rocket from Earth to Pajamaja landed at the northern end of Bongan Min. First, I got a star-entry stamp at the Bongan Min District of the Pajamaja Planet Observatory.

ボンガンミンを南へ下っていくと賑やかになっていくらしいが、充分ここも賑やかだった。奇妙な生き物がたくさん歩いている。 見上げると「ボエ〜〜」と歌うイカ（？）が飛んでいる。どこからともなくささやき声のようにさまざまな音楽が聞こえてくる。 インフォメーションセンターで得た情報によると、ここは音楽と詩の都らしい。「詩人の寝言やあくびも歌となり、楽士は毎日演奏会」。 なんだかとってもワクワクしてきた。

I heard that it gets busier and busier as you go south down Bongan Min, and it was busy enough here. Many strange creatures were walking around. When I looked up, I saw a flying squid (?) singing "boe~~". singing "boe~~" as I looked up. Various kinds of music like whispers could be heard coming from everywhere. According to the information I got at the information center, this is the capital of music and poetry. Even poets' bedtime stories and yawns become songs, and musicians give concerts every day. It was very exciting.

ボンガンミンの南北を走るこだま山脈にそって南へ下っていく。空飛ぶ歌イカが誘導しているようないないような、ずっと前を飛んでいる。黄色いアタマの筒（？）から音楽が流れて、五線譜のような糸を空中に描いていく。すごいパフォーマンスだなあとひたすら感心。ピンクのかいじゅうトラムは道すがら、私にガイドをしてくれる。「こだまのツボに当たったらラッキーさ！」「なにが？」「こだまのツボに当たったらラッキーさ！」なんだかよくわからない。私は当てずっぽうに石を投げてみた。「それじゃないさ。それにはずれたよ」と笑っている。しばらくすると「もうすぐハーモニーレイクだよ」といった。

We headed south along the Kodama Mountains, which run north and south of Bongan Minh. A flying singing squid seems to be guiding us, or not, all the way down in front of us. Music is playing from a yellow-headed tube (?). Music was playing from a yellow head tube (?), and a string like a musical staff was being drawn in the air. It was an amazing performance. The pink monster streetcar guided me along the way. "You'll be lucky if you hit a kodama jar!" What? "You'll be lucky to hit a Kodama's pressure point!" I don't understand. ハーモニーレイク
南北に走るこだま山脈とハーモニーレイクの間にはたまに「ボンガンストーン」が落ちている。ボンガンストーンに自分の音楽を封じ、その意思をハーモニーレイクに投げ込むことによってボンガンミンの大地に音楽が保存される。

Harmony Lake
Between the Kodama Mountains running north-south and Harmony Lake, "bongan stones" sometimes fall. By sealing one's music in the Bongan Stone and throwing one's will into Harmony Lake, the music is preserved in the land of Bongan Min.

ハーモニーレイクにつくと、サックス奏者のK.Y氏とばったり再会。
彼はボンガンストーンを探しているようだったので、私も一緒に探す。

20〜30分もしないうちにそれらしい石が見つかった。
美しい石だった。
When I arrived at Harmony Lake, I bumped into Mr. K.Y., a saxophonist.
He seemed to be looking for a bongan stone, so I joined him in his search.

Within 20 to 30 minutes, we found a stone that looked like it.
It was a beautiful stone.

彼はさっそくとっておきの曲を吹いて石に記憶させた。そしてハーモニーレイクの真ん中に投げ込んだ。とってもうれしそうだった。 でもほどなくして彼は思い直した。「とっておきの曲じゃなくてよかったんだ、きっと」。そして即興でサックスを吹きはじめた。おそらくこの場でなければ生まれなかった音なのだろう。心地良く大地に響いていた。
He immediately played his favorite song and made the stone memorize it. Then he threw it into the middle of Harmony Lake. He seemed very happy. But soon after, he changed his mind. It's probably a good thing I don't have a special song," he said. He began to improvise on the saxophone. It was a sound that probably could not have been created anywhere else. It resonated comfortably on the ground.

ボンガンシティに着いた。ライブハウスとコンサートホールで埋め尽くされたような街だ。すべての場所でいつもコンサートが開かれている。しかも夜通しだからすごい！もちろん、演奏だってできる。踊っていたっていい。ミュージシャンに撮っては楽園だ！私はここに数日滞在してハシゴしようと決めた。チケットはどこででも手に入るようだった。
I arrived in Bongan City. The city seems to be filled with live music venues and concert halls. There are always concerts going on in all the places. And all night long! Of course, you can play. You can dance. It's a paradise for musicians! I decided to stay here for a few days and go on the road. Tickets seemed to be available everywhere.

旅の初日からちらちらと目が合う生き物がいる。目が合ったと思うと一瞬にしていなくなってしまうのだけれど、このコンサートホールで至近距離でばったり出会った。 縦に目が三つ、真っ赤なからだをしている。大きいの、小さいの（子ども？）いろいろなんだけど、なぜかいつも近くにいるような気がする。 しっかり目が合ったので、私は「こんにちは！」と話しかけた。 すると「コンニチワ！」とキュートな声が聞こえた。聞こえたというよりテレパシーかもしれない。でもとにかく聞こえたのだ。しかもとってもうれしそうな声だった。
Since the first day of my trip, I have been seeing a creature that has been catching my eye every now and then. When I think our eyes meet, they disappear in an instant, but here in this concert hall, we bumped into each other at close range. They have three vertical eyes and bright red bodies. Some were big, some were small (children?). They were all different, but somehow they always seemed to be in close proximity to each other. Our eyes met, and I said, "Hello! I spoke to them. Then I heard a cute voice say, "Konnichiwa! I heard a cute voice. It might have been more telepathic than audible, but I heard it anyway. But I heard it anyway. And it sounded very happy.

彼（彼女？）の名はポルチコポピリン。地球人をよく知っているし、行ったこともあるし、大好きなのだとか。それからはどこでも私のあとをポコポコとついてくるようになった。ところで私ときたら、このところずっとお酒を飲んでいるので足元がふらふらする。ポルチコとそっくりの歩き方になってしまった。
His (her?) name is Porcupine. His (her?) name is Porcupine. He (she?) knows many people on Earth, has been there, and loves it. Since then, he has been following me everywhere. By the way, I have been drinking all these days and my feet are wobbly. I walk just like Porcico.

到着早々、音楽三昧の日々。興奮状態が続いたので「すいみんホテル」で休息をとる。おもに旅行者と思索に耽る詩人が利用する所で、ゼリー状の建物だ。身体がゼリーに包まれて気持ちいい。そういえば久しぶりに眠ったかも。明日は海辺に出てボンガンクルーズを楽しみながら歴史の町、「キチュケチュカチュ」へ向かう予定だ。

「俺は歌だ 俺はここを歩く」

ホテルの部屋に残されていた言葉。地球人・インディオ・フンディーさんがこの地で残した詩だ。

From the moment of arrival, the days were filled with three days of music. The excitement continued, so we took a rest at the "Suimin Hotel. It is a jelly-like building used mainly by travelers and poets lost in contemplation. It felt good to have my body wrapped in jelly. Come to think of it, I haven't slept in a while. Tomorrow, I plan to go to the seaside, enjoy a Bongan cruise, and head for the historical town of Kichuketukachu.

時空レシーバー　Space-Time Receiver

たどりつくと入り口で怪しいレシーバーを貸し出していた。キチュークレシーバーといって、時空を超越して古代と通信できる通信機だそうだ。おもしろそうなので、もちろん借りてみた。そしてポルチコ石像の前へ行ってレシーバーをオンにしてみた。

「キューーガガガガ…ピ〜ゴロゴロゴロピ〜ーーガガガ…ピーピーピー…ガガガ…ガガガガ…ピ〜ゴロゴロゴロピ〜ーーガガガ…ピーピーピー…チキュウハ　アオカッタ……ワレワレ…マヨッタ……ブツッ！」

通信が途絶えた！

わたしはあわてて言った「もしもし！もしもし！」。心の中でなにがもしもしだ、と腹が立つ。もしもしじゃなにも分からない。ところが、

「ゴロゴロゴロピ〜ーーガガガ……ン？……モシ？…ガガガ…ピーピーピー…モシモシモシモシモシモシモシ…………ブツッ！」

届いた！ 続けてポルチコの声がした。

「チキュウーーアカルイガガガ…クライ、ガガガ…タノシイピーピー、カナ…シイピー」。「わたし、サバコ。地球からきたの」。「ガガガ…タノシイピーピー、カナ…シイ……ンン？　サバ…コ？　ゴロゴロゴロピ〜…ハローハローハロー！　キョウモゴキゲンキ　」。

コミュニケーションがとれてきたようなそうでないような…。しばらくやりとりしてみると、どうやら相手方はポルチコポピリンで、初めて地球へ行ったそのすぐ直後の時間と交信しているらしかった。興奮しつつもすこし混乱しているかのようだった。なにをみているのか尋ねても答えはかえってこない。たぶんパジャマジャ星には存在しないなにかを目撃しているのだろう。ハッピーなものではなさそうだ。地球に嫌な印象もってほしくないなあと、心配になる。

It got there! Porcico's voice continued. 'Chikyuuuaakaluigagaa...kraai, gagaa...tanoshii peepee, kana...shiiiipee.' I am Sabako. I'm from Earth. After a short exchange, it seemed that the other party was a porticopopilin, communicating with the time immediately after his first visit to the earth. He seemed excited but also a little confused. When I asked him what he was seeing, he did not answer. Perhaps he was witnessing something that did not exist on the planet Pajamaja. It does not seem to be something happy. I am worried that they might have a bad impression of the earth.

ケチュチュ国立公園〜キチュケチュカチュ北端にあることからも、はるか古代より宇宙との交信をつとめていたことがよくわかる国立公園 ナンジャーレコードがパジャマジャ遺産。

パジャマジャ原始時代の通信役。今でも時折しゃべるそうなので、わたしは適当に鼻歌でもうたって待つことにした。しばらく反応がなかったけど、くしゃみをしたら「ぼちぼち、ボードでもとっかえて転送速度を上げてみるか。ペクシッ」とひとり言を言った。「地球も光通信になったよ」と返すと「あっはっはっは！ それは甘酸っぱそうだな」と変な返事が返ってきた。ボンガンミンでもらった"なかなか減らないクッキー"をかじると、目がにゅ〜と伸びてきてあっさり横取りされてしまった。「昔はパジャマジャ星ってどんなだったの？」「どんなってどんなこと？　イミわからん」わたしのポケットを覗き込む。クッキーが目当てのようだ。「だから、昔もよかったの？」そう聞くとブホっとせき込んで「へ〜〜んなことを聞くんだのう。そんなのイミないイミない！　地球人は時間の箱をもっているのかい。だいだい……もう１枚そのクッキくれくれ。」この地に来てはじめてまじめな問答が成立している！わたしはクッキーをもう１枚あげて続きを聞いた。

For the first time since I came here, a serious question and answer has been established! I gave him another cookie and asked him to continue.

「だいたい…なに？」「は？？　だいたい？　なにかなそれは」「だから〜〜、言いかけていたでしょ、地球人は…って」「おお！そうそう…だいたいな、昔はよかったなんて、その昔の時点で、今は良いぞって思っていたのかっていうことじゃわい。つまらん、つまらん、そんな話」「う〜〜ん…？」「それよりこのクッキはボンガンミンのものじゃろう、すばらしい！　今、はやりの音楽が聞こえてきたぞ〜」。そういって電話機のようなおじいさん（？）は目をつぶってリズムをとり始めた。わたしはポケットをさぐり、まだあと３枚あると確認してその場をあとにした。

ケチュチュ国立公園を散歩しながら、時間について考えた。ここパジャマジャ星と地球では時間の捉え方が少し違うような気がする。「昔はよかったな」というセリフは地球ではよく聞くし、わたしもつい言ったりもする。たしかに何かおかしいような気もするけど、それ以上なかなか考えられなかった。

As I strolled through Kechuchu National Park, I thought about time. I feel that time is perceived a little differently here on Pajamaja than it is on Earth. On Earth, we often hear people say, "The old days were good," and I often say it myself. It is true that there is something strange about it, but I couldn't think about it any more.

よその星にパジャマジャ星のことを伝えるためのレコード。この星のいろいろが記録されているというのは非常に興味深いが、どうやって中身を知るのかわからない。 聞いても「分かりきったことさ〜」と返ってきた。
キチュケチュカチュにいる人はなんでも悟ったような言葉をふざけてしゃべる感じだ。生真面目なタイプの人間はちょっとムカつくかもしれない、などと考える。
A record used to tell other planets about the planet Pajamaja. It is very interesting that many things on this planet are recorded, but I don't know how to know what's on it.
